Bruce Alan Penn is an American writer, filmmaker, and educator, and the founder of BAPMEDIA, LLC, a New York–based creative media production company established in 1990. With a career spanning more than three decades, Penn has built a diverse body of work across comic publishing, film production, live entertainment, and fashion-driven storytelling.
He is the creator of Fashion Police USA, a satirical comic book series originally published between 1998 and 2002. Recognized for its sharp take on fashion and celebrity culture, the series developed a cult following and remains a defining part of his creative portfolio. The franchise is currently being revived with a full-color relaunch, alongside its expansion into a feature film.
Penn is currently leading the production of Fashion Police The Movie, bringing his original comic concept to the screen and further establishing his presence in independent cinema.
In addition to his work in the industry, Penn serves as a film professor at Five Towns College in Long Island, New York, where he mentors and educates the next generation of filmmakers. His academic role reflects his commitment to both the craft of filmmaking and the development of emerging creative talent.
Throughout his career, Penn has also produced international concerts featuring major recording artists and has been actively involved in entertainment marketing and large-scale event production. A graduate of Full Sail University, Wes holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Communications and a master’s degree in Creative Writing. With over 20 years of experience in filmmaking, he brings a deep understanding of narrative and visual storytelling.
Wes specializes in screenwriting, story development, producing, directing, and editing across multiple forms of visual media. His work spans a range of projects currently streaming on platforms such as Tubi and Amazon Prime Video, reflecting both versatility and consistent creative output.
Priya Patel
